It only takes 46 pence/EU 0.58/AU$1.20 a day to sponsor a child
That is the price of a packet of sweeties...
The Fields of Life Child Sponsorship programme is a straight-forward process. Each child sponsored through Fields of Life is assigned only one sponsor. It is only when a sponsor ceases support that we seek a new sponsor for a child.

What do I have to do?

  • Download, print and fill in an online sponsorship form and forward this to us via post. Once the form has been completed and it reaches the corresponding office, the FOL Administrator will then forward it to your bank/building society.
  • If you prefer to process your sponsorship support via post, contact us.
  • Your payments can be paid monthly or yearly. It is £14/€18/AU$36 monthly or £168/€216/$AU425 yearly to sponsor a child through primary school. As the child progress through their education and on to secondary school, the fee increases to £20/€25/AU$50 monthly or £240/€300/AU$600 yearly.
  • Unfortunately, we can only accept cheques in Australia, Northern Ireland or the Republic.  If you are uncertain which payment method is most suitable for your needs, Contact Us to enquire, or to specify your payment preference.

What do I receive?

  • At the very start, you will receive a pack containing details and pictures of your sponsored child and their family.
  • You will receive periodic letters from the child you sponsor.  Although some of the little ones are too young to write or form sentences in English, they make up for it in their zealous and colourful artwork.
  • You will receive an authentic African Christmas card from your sponsored child.

How far does my money go?

Your money of £14/€18/AU$36 a month gives a child:

  • a chance to go to school
  • a uniform every year
  • equipment for school (pencils, pens, exercise books)
  • basic medical care

The handling of your donated funds is also uncomplicated. The funds you donate are forwarded directly to our Child Sponsorship Co-ordinator in Kampala, Uganda. It is our Child Sponsorship Co-ordinator's (see profile) role to travel to individual schools and check on the status and welfare of the children as well as to disburse funds as designated by each sponsor's contribution.
