GIFTS OF LIFE is a department of income generating projects in fields of life and in this department we train parents on how to carry out farming in communities where Fields of Life has constructed schools, over 1,975 households in over 36 schools have benefited out of gifts of life.
1. MITYANA DISTRICT (Hope Vision Primary School)
We have over 80 households involved in Gifts of Life in this area, through field of life these people received gifts like piglets, maize seeds and tomatoes seeds this was all aimed at improving food security in the area and getting a surplus to sell off for some income to help in child education and buying of home necessities.
Parents are trained in farming skills and livestock keeping and after receive their gifts, getting ready to carry out farming.
A maize harvest ready for storage and there after maize is sold and parents get income.
2. WAKISO DISTRICT (Kiti Parent’s Primary School)
Kiti is found in Nangabo Sub County in Wakiso district it has got 907,988 house hold being the pioneering gifts of life projects it started with 30 house hold.
Today this project has increased to over 100 house hold in four years, each family received just a piglet which has been a life changer, and the one piglet for each family has now grown and turned out to be a model village, which has birthed the entire 36 project in different schools.
