Hope Vision

Last year 22 families received capital to begin agricultural projects - growing maize, onions etc. The money was spent on cultivating large pieces of land, buying seeds and hiring labourers. By the end of this year the families should be harvesting these crops and gaining a real boost to their income.

In January '08, 10 families recieved piglets (see picture below) and 8 families recieved 11 chickens each. The families who receive livestock will be expected to contribute piglets and chicks to the next number of families who are part of the income generation programme in that area.

Families are encouraged by the local growth to the economy, and rejoice in being able to pay their children's school fees.
