Finally its happened. After three months in Uganda customs the water drilling rig was finally released with full tax exemption on the 28th of December. With no time to waste the drilling team of George, Peter, Francis, Jacob, Issac and Charles finally got everything assembled and began drilling on the 30th December. 30 metres later and we were in business. Water in abundance and so clean and fresh right outside the back door of Fields of Life Academy.
The operation after this test drill is off to Fort Portal and then up to Apac district where we will stay for a couple of months drilling in many villages. This is the beginning of an exciting new phase of work within Fields of Life where we plan to drill 1000 wells over the next ten years providing safe, clean water to over a million people.
